About Gary King
I’m a writer, speaker and lover of all things that raise the heartbeat and tickle the senses. If there is one thing that I’ve learnt from my years of extreme sport and adventure travel is that life is for living - not spectating.

Keiths Hut
by Gary King on 28-Apr-10 09:35
In the backcountry surrounding Pemberton in the Canadian Rockies is one the most welcoming mountain huts that you'll ever have the good fortune to visit. Erected as a memorial to to Keith Flavelle, a local mountaineer who perished in the an avalanche on Mount Hogan, the hut welcomes people looking for shelter all the year round. I went there after a day's hike on a split snowboard and spent a warm and comfortable night with about a dozen others. Click on the image to view the picture gallery of my trip.

South West England Outdoor Adventures
by Gary King on 24-Apr-10 08:03
I recently had the pleasure of spending a couple of days in the South West coasteering and mountain biking with Breathing Space and The Mount Batten Centre. The weather was wet but it didn't dampen my spirits.
My report was made into a video and published in The Daly Telegraph.

Talk to the Chartered Institute of Marketing
by Gary King on 22-Apr-10 15:59
I joined forces with Insight to Impact and Kukimedia today to address the Chartered Institute of Marketing at a special web clinic designed to make marketeers take a fresh look at their website design, development and marketing. I was talking about the need for compelling and effective copy to push websites up search engines page rankings. I used my own site to show how I have achieved first page status on Google searches for 'Extreme Sports Blogs' and for 'Gary King'.

by Gary King on 14-Apr-10 17:37
How cool is this pooch? I've just seen him kicking back at a mountain hut on the Glacier de Chiaupe in the French Alps.
